This project aims to provide online and in-person sessions in 4 Asian countries to inspire, engage, and connect young girls with STEM. The project's goal is to increase the number of women involved in Data Science.
This event has two major target groups, namely female high school students and female university undergraduates studying STEM-related subjects. The project team intends to hold three online workshop sessions for high school girls and undergraduate university female students in September, October, and November 2022.
Girls in Asia Datacamp (GiAD) goal is to encourage young women's interest in Data Science (skillset) in the context of ICT4D. GiAD is a series of hybrid events designed to encourage young women to pursue education and skills in Data Science and ICT4D. GiAD involves high school and college-level female students in STEM fields.
