To help children recognize cyberbullying
Learning outcomes: Children will learn to recognize signs of cyberbullying, both when they are the
target and when others are affected. They will develop an awareness of potentially harmful online behaviours.
If someone is being cyberbullied, they might show signs like feeling sad, upset, or scared after using devices or being online. They could start avoiding using technology, seem withdrawn, or not want to hang out with friends. Sometimes, they might have trouble sleeping, feel sick, or not want to go to school. If you notice these signs in someone you know, it's important to talk to them and offer support. Cyberbullying can make people feel really bad, so being kind and reaching out to help is really important.
When you report cyberbullying, you're telling someone who can help, like a parent, teacher, or the website or game platform where the bullying is happening. By reporting, you're letting them know that someone is being mean or hurtful online. This helps them take action to stop the bullying and make the internet a safer place. Reporting cyberbullying is a way to stand up for yourself or someone else and prevent it from happening again. It's important because it helps protect people from feeling sad or upset and makes sure everyone can enjoy being online without worrying about bullies.
